Someone else absailing off the same cliff in Dartmoor

Hello, so I'm back from Dartmoor and Cheddar and the likes, back with illness and disease and general tired-ness, and general disinterest in other people, full stop.

I went to Cheddar for my field trip, and it went relatively okay considering last year's surveying trip was one which I think I shall re-iterate I shall not be looking fondly back on. Relatively speaking, it was like going on holiday. It was a nice break from the city for a while and I got to know my peers a lot more better, shall we say. Not to mention I learnt a whole bunch of stuff about rocks. Wahey.

And what a cow with a bad stomach looks like.

Then last weekend I went to Dartmoor for a course called W.I.L.D 1 run by the RAEng and learnt all about teambuilding and the like, and met some really lovely people! I even went absailing (yes I absailed that, no that is not me, I'm still waiting for the photo of me) for the first time ever =) and then half of us caught a stomach bug from some dodgy water. But other than that the weekend was awesome!

I'm still recovering, but feeling the need for a lot of 'ME' time. All this socialising/bonding/leadership/team-building business leaves me in a very watch-tv/dvds/read-comics/not-study/sit-alone/with-my-brother/at-home mood. Lol don't ask me why. It's not so much an antisocial thing, it's more of an introvert/introspective/just-don't-want-to-have-to-think-about-other-people ...thing.

Oh I don't know. I might snap out of this once I stop feeling guilty about all the money I spent lately, start missing my friends, and have gotten rid these stupid Dartmoor germs.

[Edit] PS. I also proved my bendiness and came 3rd in trying to grab a torn cornflake box from the floor with my teeth (or at least wat was left of the cornflake box at this stage of the game). Oh yes, as you can tell, I was taught many lifelong skills on this course! =PBig up to my crazy bending skillz!

(Yes, that small piece of cardboard is the remainders of the cornflake box.)[/Edit]

  4. ALMOST! I can't do the splits, if I could I would have won. If you look closely my left leg is bent. like i'm all bent to one side.
