No really, count them.
I was in Shepherd's Bush today (read Saturday), and was stunned by how many cranes there were on this ONE site:
Cranes cost a lot of money. They must be doing some serious redevelopment. I counted more than ten for sure. And those were just tower cranes. I see a crawler crane (far left) and I daresay there are even more. The nearest tower crane (that extends to the top left corner of the photo) was just towering above the road! 
They did look sort of majestic against the sky above all the traffic. With their booms precariously still.
Gosh I am a civil engineer.
