Working Girl

The commute from Queen's Park to Epsom is not only tiring for me, but for my wallet too. Week and a half's pay covers my travel expenses. flipping hell.

Being at work is very interesting. (warning in advance: I'm in no mood to be verbose)
The people I work with at the moment are working on the Olympic Park to be built in Stratford (East London) in time for the London 2012. More specifically, enabling works and remedial works needed for this huge regeneration. Atkins aren't doing the stadiums, so probably won't be able to make my mark on anything visual =P Everyone's very friendly and encouraging, always take the time to explain something if I need help. I'm having to get to grips with staring at lots of data etc at the moment. If I wasn't blind before I sure am now =P

It's kind of exciting to know that you're in the midst of such an important project, I don't know how long I'm staying on this project but it would be nice to get to move around and see what everyone else is doing. It's so weird being the real world and watching people do work that actually matters. As opposed to studies at Imperial, lots of theory that's not even going to materialise until 2nd or 3rd year. I'm expecting to learn alot in the next few weeks, though the sudden change in sleeping pattern is going to make me suffer for it =___=

Anyway, I have work tomorrow, best to go bed, waking up at 6-bloody-30!!
