Ten Years Ago

Somewhat following suit to generic brand new year/ brand new decade feelings (most of which stem from Carol):

TEN YEARS AGO...

It was the turn of the millennium.

I was 11 going on 12. Goddd. I hadn't discovered the world of the internet yet, and had no idea of the affliction that lay before me. I had a crush on an older boy (story of my life really) but he was my friend's brother and didn't see me that way. All my drama had yet to start.

I was growing out my fringe and started to worry about picking out my own clothes. I owned these awesome platform trainers which I wore EVERYWHERE.

My favourite boybands included BSB, 5ive, NSync but Westlife not to much.
My best friends were Sabah and Mona, the rest of the gang were yet to join. I thought swearing and txt spk was for cool people, and occasionally I would pretend I was cool. I was a goody-two-shoes really.

I WAS STILL THE ONLY PERSON WHO HAD READ HARRY POTTER! Gosh I relish those times.

I reckon the year 2001 was a bit more eventful for me, that's year I turned into a grumpy moody so-and-so.

TEN YEARS FROM NOW....

I will be 31.

I would like to be married. I'd like to have a kid. actually no rush on that one.

I would like to have visited every continent, including the Artic AND Antarctic.

I would like to speak at least half of the languages I state on my CV fluently. (lol)

I would like to be a pretty awesome engineer.

I would like to have climbed a bad-ass mountain (Kili, maybe).

I'm saving things like building a school, raising some lovely kids, winning a ballroom competition, learning how to be competent at an instrument and learning how to sing properly for things I wanna do by the time I'm dead. There's no rush on those :)

In 10 years time, I hope I'll still be alive and kicking with at least 2 kids (AT LEAST!).

    You're already an awesome engineer.
