Inspiration. At 2am. It is more of a song than a poem.
Untitled.
Simple little smile.
How you'd simper all the while.
When all the world's a stage,
I wish you'd simply act your age;
You sat with all your tales untold,
I sit as all fables unfold
Into the caress of the night,
I watch the 'mares you fuss and fight.
Simple little smile.
It always goes another mile.
Teeth sinking into words anew.
Simple little fly dove true.
If all my world's an oyster,
Charge of such a little girl,
Then when the walrus comes ashore,
Will it try to claim the pearl?
Simple little pleasures,
With simple small delight,
Simple little treasures,
That will make it all alright.
An ocean hand, a favour,
A sweep along the shore,
A friend, a heart, a saviour,
And nothing little more.
A simple little smile.
It was all was worth my while.
And Then It Struck Me
Small
It's a drop of ink in the ocean
that rocks my little sailboat
where I'm curled on the deck
clutching the storybook
that keeps the demons away
which bring the mountainous waves
that thrash at the starboard
which makes me close my eyes
that will not want to open
until I wash up safely home.
Contrary.
This girl, she saw the unseen
And she kept it in a pocket
Not to be witnessed by anyone again
Until it chose to manifest itself.
She waited a time
And grew flowers on her way,
In hope that one may hold a bloom
Like the world had never seen.
She loved the rain.
In every grey cloud bore a new hope for life
So she loved the rain.
Loved it until the skies ran dry
And sunshine warmed the earth once more.
She put her ear to the ground,
Listening for what she had buried
Watching for new shoots to grow
In the soil of her garden.
She tries her best.
But they do not see what she sees
When she waits for centuries on her knees
For flowers to grow where dirt used to be.
Paper Planes
In left,
In right,
Centrefold.
Out left,
Out right,
Out left,
Outright...
Sharpen the creases for streamlining.
And take flight.
Why
..do I get shy?
Words come less easy
And I suddenly become willing to please.
I cannot take it
It becomes very hard to break
Away from my stare;
I cannot compare thee to a summer's day
Since I cannot look away
From the sun; it's so very bright when we lie
In the grass just you and I.

//birdie told me
//Things I would very much like

A book that tells dumb people like me how to grow things. I have missed having a garden - I forgot how nice it is to eat things that you didn't have to buy.
The Abominable Charles Christopher - Book One:
The first collection of the webcomic drawn by Karl Kerschl. I met Karl in November (?) and he's a really nice guy, who draws really amazing comics.
